Streaming...

A relative who won't be named has a ginormous tv and high speed cable with streaming HD. For the second time that I can recall the following has occurred.

  1. We page through a steam punk folder menu for over 5 minutes to find some movie as it's way to difficult to use the search function.
  2. Finding a movie, we start to watch however we pause for pizza, booze, bathroom, chat about crap etc.
  3. 10, 20 minutes goes by and we hit play/un-pause to continue. The movie is frozen and we have to go back up two or more folders (this was on the prior system, AT&T) and not remembering where we found the movie we can't go back and re-start it. Or as in the other night, comcast "saves" the streaming film that's pauses after 10 minutes in a folder called "saved streaming movie" or such, however once in the folder we can't seem to get it started again. Back up two folders and again we don't know where we found it so we just say screw it and watch what he has recorded at the "top menu".

To me this seems like a big chunk of "epic fail". Yes bluray/SD players lockup or crash but you can get back to where you were...

I hope he's getting his money out of "beta testing" this crap.

mgmt.
